Nelson's Dockyard, English Harbour
4 - 9 Dec 2024
Every December, the beautiful Caribbean island of Antigua welcomes some of the latest luxury yacht rentals operating in the Caribbean for the Antigua Charter Yacht Show.
Marking the start of the Caribbean superyacht season, the Antigua Charter Yacht Show is a trade-only event that is one of the most significant events in the annual yachting calendar and attracts some of the most impressive motor yacht charters in the region.
A week-long event that provides brokers and industry professionals with the opportunity to explore some of the latest Caribbean yacht charters, the Antigua Charter Yacht Show facilitates exclusive meetings with captains and crew of the attending yachts, providing professionals with insider knowledge to match their clients with their dream superyacht.
Each year, around 75 motor and sailing yacht charters are showcased around the shores of Antigua with three marinas in use including:
- Nelson’s Dockyard Marina in English Harbour
- Falmouth Harbour Marina
- Antigua Yacht Club Marina in Falmouth Harbour
Throughout the duration of the event, attending brokers can explore the superyacht charters with guided tours and learn more about Antigua yacht charters and what they can offer prospective charter guests.
Each year a fantastic selection of yachts are available for inspection in one of the Caribbean's most popular charter destinations
Known to welcome some of the biggest names in the yachting industry, the Antigua Charter Yacht Show is an ideal event for brokers to view some truly innovative yachts either for themselves or on behalf of a client.
Held just after most superyacht charters make their transatlantic crossing for the winter Caribbean season, this show is often the first opportunity for many to see new additions to the yacht charter fleet.
With names like Perini Navi, Lurssen, and Oceanco adorning the pontoons, the Antigua Charter Yacht Show has become renowned for hosting some of the most luxurious yachts, including some of the largest yachts for charter on the market.
Some of the largest yachts that have attended the show so far include 312.4ft (95.2m) superyacht charter WHISPER, formerly known as KISMET, 288.9ft (88.01m) sailing yacht charter MALTESE FALCON, and the iconic 295.7ft (90.09m) luxury yacht charter NERO.
In addition to the ensemble of luxury charter yachts around the docks, the event also provides a lively social program of welcome parties, broker lunches, evening yacht hops, and activity days.
The main side attraction of the Antigua Charter Yacht Show, often seen at trade-only yacht shows, is the chef competition. One of the most respected culinary contests in the charter industry, with a different theme each year, visiting superyacht charter chefs are challenged to use their skills to create unique visions on a plate.
Using a pre-selected theme, which changes each year, superyacht chefs use their natural flair and ability to present a three-course meal combining the main theme and a mystery ingredient chosen by Shoreside Support.
